random day in the life processing an autism diagnosis
12:13 That’s not an embarrassing confession. If you read some comments you can see you’re definitely not alone in this.
As someone who knows basically nothing about autism idk if these are really indicators but I do remember sitting in my car crying because I was forced to go to olive garden last minute with a bunch of strangers. I tend to wear the same exact shirt for months on end but thats mitigated by the fact that I buy multiple copies of the same shirt when I find one I like and literally dont have any other styles because I threw them out when they got to sanctified (full of holes).
Exactly! Just say what you mean!!!
I never tried to make myself seem more desirable or socially acceptable. That would mean fooling yourself, sabotaging yourself, destroying yourself. And I always stay true to my authentic self (I’m a Myers-Briggs INFP, so there’s that). And staying true to yourself might attract few people, but it does attract people who suit the ‘real you’. But staying true too myself to such a degree often results in self-isolation. If I cannot find someone who looks like he/she would possibly make a fitting friend, I just kind of freeze/shut down and not pursue a relationship with anyone. I just kind of give up and go off on my own, which isn’t good either. Eventually the lack of any connection in an environment just gets to you. I do have three close friends (one of whom is autistic as well, high functioning as well), but when I veered outside that environment, going to university, I was left with no one. Unable to really relate to anyone. It’s part of why I quit. I didn’t like the course anyway. And university probably doesn’t suit me well, anyway. I can keep up intellectually, but my planning skills are… about what you’d expect from someone with autism. Not too dandy.
I cannot relate to thinking your bullies are your friends but that sounds absolutely horrible.

The beach being over stimulating you made me notice that most times I think "I don't feel well" are just situations where I get over stimulated and keep going anyways. Will start paying more attention to how I feel before it gets so bad.
What do 2 and 7 have in common and i say 5
Man... We NEED it translated to brazilian Portuguese.
Without the five they are both 2
Me
2and7 are common in that they both have 2pointy ends and one pointy "curve".
Or you are Gaslighting yourself, because you are Narrsisitic. I have a nephew that seems highly intelligent . He really has gaps in his memory and makes up for it by grabing things out of the air and make up story lines. He comes off as argumentative , but it is intentional
I have ADHD and said the same answers as you 😂. Now should I get assessed for autism 😭
Sometimes when I'm eating with my family they watch me eat then I stop eating then after dinner they ask if I was okay and I tell them I don't like being watched and they said "no its ok its not that bad" 😭
I think im autistic now... deadass...
I have a toothbrush and toothpaste at work and even in my car
Thanks, you're dope
It's because the things we see on tiktok are not diagnosis tools for spectrum related disorders. How you respond and how you react are what they are looking at. Not the info given
I'm still shocked this is an asd spectrum thing and not a me thing.
THATS ME BUT I DONT HAVE ADHD- LIKE WTH
I was diagnosed a year or so ago when I was 32. In my 20’s, instead of grieving I spent 10 years hating myself and who I was, constantly asking the question: why does my life seem to be so different from everyone else’s? Now, FINALLY after my diagnosis, I have been able to start accepting myself for who I am and just BEGIN to enjoy my life. I’ve gotten to grieve and accept that my life will look different, and I no longer feel so confused. Thanks for these beautiful videos! :)
Seeing faces and forms on ceilings and floors has always made me think I'm mad.
I do this all the time. This is an autistic trait?
Ha the last one is definitely me and my sis hated me for it!!! Cuz her school day started way later than me but like i wouldn't have the time to get everything in my locker and in my class and eat breakfast lol!
The hand motions
The Tv and shirt examples YES
OMG just do one thing at once it's not that hard😩
Expect for the numbers one this is literally my assessment
i hate when my parents get me to school WHEN it starts bc then i cant do my morning ritual 😢
This is relatable for me (except the last one) My family is autistic, and I do this every Christmas. They know how I act, yet none of the gifts have any receipts. I just wish they did, because it would be alot more easier. But I understand that not everything goes how I want it. I'm thinking about asking, but only when this comment gets to 100 likes because I'm shy (if it eventually does get 100 likes, just reply and I might edit it to say I asked. I'm not like begging, it's your choice to like. Not mine)
"what do 2 & 7 have in common?" me: they're good. they feel like good numbers.
My brain says 5
Exactly me especially the ceiling one
Seriously though, don't beat around the bush, it's annoying.
My brain said 2 and 7 were both prime numbers. 🤦♀️ I should’ve known they were just numbers
Omg I didn’t know communication trauma was a thing until now 😮 I’m definitely going through that now. I’ve become a shut in and I’m even too anxious to call the doctors office. It’s like when I speak to people even tho it’s in English they respond like as if I spoke in German or something. 😭
my brain is like that is the time span, i planned it like that. i didnt drink water when i was thirsty 20 mins ago bc i would have to pee now, so i will have to pee in 10 mins tho. not alot of options in my mind are left either…..!? „is the driver ok?“ „what if he had an accident, well thats very rare, but hopefully my food is ok?“ iam never late like never there were its 9:30 we planned to go on 9:45 so we will leave at 9:45 i could do 9:44‘45 But thats the ok span since someone could trip and fall . well im on the waiting list for the diagnosis
This is how my brother is
Can someone explain the toothbrush one
2 and 7 Both prime numbers When spelt out “two” and “seven” it takes an odd amount of letters to spell both. But no she says “They are BoTh NuMbErs”
They’re both 5 apart from the other
Literally my daughter ☺️
Ooh I got an answer for 2 and 7 there both +2 from intervals of 5
I HAVE THIS PROBLEM BUT ITS WHEN I ASK PEOPLE *IF* THEYVE DONE SOMETHING!! I recently caught on that some people I work with think I’m questioning their capabilities when I ask them if they’ve done a bunch of tasks. I just genuinely want to know that they’ve done it, I’m not doubting them. So weird.
one time in kindergarten, i was having an off day because we had a sub (i don’t do well with subs) and i opened my lunchbox for lunch and just cried the whole lunch because i got a nacho lunchable instead of a pizza one 💀
the first one was FACTS
Neurotypical came with a mental program already made up, filled with social rules and safe habits that they apply to survive as a collective but we came virgin, we have no program no agenda, everything is direct... zero filter and honest
stop stoop too relatable
August, Saturday, and January are all the colour green. I will not explain my reasoning.
